As my family will tell you, I have a hard time keeping surfaces clear of extra junk. It’s a problem I try to work on, but never seem to make much progress. So when I do get a surface the way it is “supposed” to look, it’s cause for celebration. Or at least a photo or three.
The H is a papercut my mom bought at a craft fair and the “dove” print was brought back from Vietnam by my brother- and sister-in-law.
The sugar bowl and creamer are pieces from a set of china I inherited from my great grandmother. Totally a coincidence that the colors in the pattern match my wall color almost exactly.
I brought home this pedestal bowl (I’m not exactly sure what you might call it) from my grandma’s house a few months ago. She has a hard time letting me leave her house without taking something. After examination, we discovered that it was handmade by my great grandma’s sister, initials V.W.
