Our new couch needed some new pillows. It came with a couple the same fabric as the couch, but… yeah, boring. With most of the room in neutrals, I needed to inject some color.
This one was from a half yard of home dec weight fabric from Jo-Ann, believe it or not. At Jo-Ann, I like to bypass the frumpiness and buy the prints that least look like they belong in that store.
I love this pink honeycomb fabric so much. (And it’s another Jo-Ann find!) It’s just a thin cotton, so I backed it with a plain white cotton to give it a little more weight. I had a yard of the fabric, so I made one with 20″ x 20″ squares and another from the remainder.
I only had a fat quarter of this bird-in-tree fabric in my stash, so I used a piece of berry-colored fabric for the backside.
I might need to make one more pillow, but I have to wait and see how the rest of the room comes together.
I’m taking the rest of the week off from blogging. More projects next week!
