One year ago today, I started this blog and it has motivated me to accomplish more than I thought would be possible in a year’s time. I have always loved making things, but have never worked at the same pace as I do now. Creativity is a funny thing; the more you create, the more ideas you get.
I sometimes wonder what the ultimate purpose of this blog is and the answer varies depending on the day. But what remains the same is that I love making things and showing them to other people, so that’s what I’ll keep on doing.
For most of January, I’ll be running through all of my handmade Christmas gifts. And on January 1, I started my Photo A Day project where I’ll be taking a photo everyday for the entire year of 2011. Look for a post on that soon.
There are so many projects I want to tackle in the coming year. I will be finishing the playroom soon, and in the spring, I plan on starting to clean up our mess of a front porch and our long-neglected backyard. There are also a thousand tiny ideas in my head for smaller-than-a-breadbox projects. I hope you will all keep reading as I figure it all out.
If you don’t know already, you can subscribe to my blog via Google Reader (or another reader). Or you can get posts delivered via e-mail.
p.s. You can now find my blog at lansdownelife.com! Don’t worry, any old bookmarks will still work.
p.p.s. Lansdowne Life is also on Facebook now!

I look forward to the front and backyard adventures!

Thanks, Nicole. I’m a little intimidated by landscaping, but something has to be done!

Hi Erin — Happy Blogiversary!! I actually just found out about your blog from Blair and look forward to browsing through all of your projects. How do you do it all? I have a blog too (cakecoutureetcie.com), but I have to admit that I’m not as diligent a blogger as you are… Hope you and the family are doing well!

Hi Brooke — Thanks! I’m not sure how I do it all. Little by little, I guess. I didn’t have time for any of this until Elise was about eight months old, if that gives you any hope.
Surprise, I’ve been reading your blog since Cédric shared it on Facebook! I meant to talk to you about it when you were here, but something about chasing Elise around makes me forget everything. I love looking at all your cakes and cookies. Hi to Cédric and little V!
