I’m not sure how it is possible, but Elise turned five on Saturday, and we celebrated with a grocery store birthday party for my grocery-loving girl. It was a small affair with a family-only guest list, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t deserve some DIY decor and special touches.
Thank you for shopping at Elise’s Market! Hooray! Birthday season is finally over around here. I do love party projects, but they are beginning to wear me out.

One of the most adorable party things I think I’ve ever seen! Though I may be a bit biased – as a child, I loved playing waitress and cashier. My mom says I was always dragging her to my latest “restaurant”. 😛

Aw, thanks! She is so ridiculously obsessed with grocery stores to the point that she gets upset if she finds out we went without her!

Hi! My niece is very into her own restaurants right now and I’d love to know where you made your invite its so creative! Thought it would be nice to use as a invite as well for a “bill” 🙂 thank you on advance!

Hi Melanie,
I made the invitations myself in InDesign. You could do something similar by using a monospaced font (like Courier) in a program like Microsoft Word. I laid out three on one letter-sized sheet (in Word, you could create three columns) and then cut them into strips. Good luck!
